Roland Creed was the first Brilliant Boy. As a young child Creeds parents were killed in a tragic whaling accident (they were both hunting whales on their second honeymoon). He was put into the care system and lived with several families before he was ten years old, before being re-homed to a care center for dysfunction children.

At the age of ten Roland, along with a group of disadvantaged children, attended a charity function organised by billionaire playboy Ralph Foster. Foster was told about the trouble the young boy had been experiencing and could relate with his circumsatances, having had a similar childhood himself. He made the decision to take the child into his own care.

After Roland accidentally discovered Ralph Fosters secret (he was in fact Mr Brilliant), the superhero decided to train the young boy, and allow him to assist him with his crime fighting duties. At first in an effort to kep the child quitet about his discovery, but later as Roland showed real talent and ability. Over the next four years he learned several martial arts and survival skills and was eventually given a costume (to stop his constant nagging). The young boy took the name Brilliant Boy and acted as Mr Brilliant’s personal assistant.

Brilliant Boy served as a loyal assistant to Mr Brilliant for a number of years, until at the age of 18 he decided to give up on the whole superhero lifestyle. He had recently come out to Ralph Foster, who had no problem with the revelation but warned Creed that he may suffer some torment from the press. Creed, never being one for the public eye opted for a much quieter life and retired from his position as Brilliant Boy.

Ralph Foster gave his friend a substantial sum of money to set up his new life in Italy. Creed bought a flat in Napoli and embarked on his new career as an actor and part-time artist (a yuppie bum to most people). Here he lived the quiet life until receiving a call from Mr Brilliant to join the newly formed LORBS.

Creed acquired a new costume (that he flamboyantly designed himself) and took the name Creampuff (the nickname given to him by his partner Simon). He is now a valuable member of the LORBS as a superhero who was actually quite talented in his prime and still retains some of his skills. He is also the only openly gay superhero in the LORBS.
