In the beginning… it began!

For decades the people of Earth have relied on a vast array of super powered individuals to defend them from all manor of evil. When a brutal alien race known as the Goolons attacked the planet, the worlds superheroes banded together to defeat the threat. The Goolons proved far too powerful, and one by one the superheroes were killed. Defenceless and still under attack, the Earth was in need of a new league of heroes. National leaders and military generals from all corners of the globe decided to form a new league of heroes, made up from the retired, the shamed and the injured heroes from days gone by.

They would be known as The League Of Reserve & Backup Superheroes (LORBS).

Col. Rench, the leader of the True Guard (the military organization given the task of forming the new league of heroes) contacted Mr Brilliant, the once great superhero who had been out of the public eye for several years and asked him to lead the LORBS…
